Women Empowering + Supporting Women
Soaked up some powerful feminine energy this weekend and wouldn’t have it any other way! Yesterday, I joined Five Sense Collective in their first Full Moon Ceremony of the year up in gorgeous Malibu and experienced a truly magical night. We celebrated intentions, connected to our wild women spirit and raised our goddess power. On Saturday, thousands of women across the country marched in the annual Women’s March. While I wasn’t there this year, it serves as a reminder that I have a voice and together show what women are capable of. That I will raise my own little girl to have power in her body + voice.
I started the weekend with a high-intensity workout at the Culver City Stairs with my love, Amy Dixon (LA babes, you may know her from Equinox) sporting our matching + vibrant Athleta gear! Such a beautiful reunion and SO needed. I feel honored to know her and have the opportunity to push my strength and test my power under her encouragement + training.
Ten years ago, I was going through a terrible breakup with my now, husband. It was then that I was inspired to become a personal trainer at Equinox, a spin instructor and train for my first 10k. It made sense. I then flew to San Francisco to train with Amy Dixon.
Amy is the most inspiring and motivating trainer I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She is a trainer that does things differently - she has her own rhythm and was able to tap into this place in me that inspired me to not only achieve the 10k, become a spin instructor and a NASM personal trainer but also completely immerse myself in the wellness world.
Our workout reunion together on Friday was EXACTLY what I needed to kick-off a weekend of women empowerment. Who motivates you to achieve your best self? There’s so much beauty + strength in supporting other women. We need to lift each other up and spread the love.
I find so much bliss in getting a workout in outside and with someone who truly motivates me to do my best. In order for me to MOVE my best, I need supportive, comfortable workout gear that allows me to push and test my limits. Athleta’s new contender line checks off all the boxes - high-waisted, compression, movable gear that jumps, lunges and squats when I do. Can’t wait to get back outside and move this week in my new Athleta gear!
Here’s easy HIT workout, you can do right now! Put on your favorite Athleta activewear and challenge yourself this week!
